Back to "Normal" ... But Anything But Ordinary!

Whew.

After a week of rest, road trips, roast beef, and roadside signs — today was back to normal.

But wow… God didn’t hold back. 🙌

Church this morning?

Absolutely beautiful.

From the first song to the final “Amen,” the Holy Spirit was moving. You could feel it. You could see it. The altars were filled, and refilled, and filled again. It was one of those services where you just know:

💥 God is stirring something.

💥He’s healing.

💥He’s calling.

💥He’s reminding.

And I stood there thinking, "THIS. This is what revival in the everyday looks like."

After church, we headed out for a long, laughter-filled lunch with Brandon and Taylor.

🍽️Y’all know how much I love my people, and there’s something about good food, shared stories, and seeing your grown kids thriving that just fills your mama heart up.

Then it was back to the house, where we spent the afternoon with Michael (a.k.a. Bones) and his sweet pup, Link.🐾 We talked, laughed, and just enjoyed the slow kind of afternoon that doesn’t always happen but always matters. Link was on full tail-wagging patrol, he and was trotting around like he owned the place. His "man surgery" all healed up!

As if that wasn’t enough, tonight I had class, and let me tell you, God showed up there too.🔥

I had the chance to share Jesus in a few unexpected places this evening, and it reminded me: We don’t have to stand behind a pulpit to minister. Sometimes it’s a message, a conversation, a moment of kindness. Sometimes it’s just showing up fully surrendered.

And I just kept thinking all day…This is it.

This is the good stuff.

✨ God was in the music.

✨ He was at the altar.

✨ He was in the tacos and nachos.

✨ He was in the wag of Link’s tail.

✨ He was in the open doors and honest words shared over dinner.

✨ He was in every little thing that made today feel whole.

And listen, not every day is shiny.

Not every Sunday leaves you this full.

But today?

Today was just good.

Because God was near.

Because my people were close.

Because my heart was steady and my hands were open.

So, here’s to the sacred ordinary, and to a God who meets us right in the middle of “normal.”

Back home. Back to routine. But walking with a little more joy in my step.
