Boxes, Bags, Bible Study and a Bit of sun and a Whole Lot of SON!

Whew… life has been happening over here! What about where you are?

I’ve been knee-deep in “moving mode” helping Brandon and Taylor get their new place settled. That means I’ve been part moving crew, part shuttle driver, part snack runner, and part “Granny Daycare.” I got to supervise Oakie's packing style! (She actually did really good for a four-year-old!)

I helped haul things from the old house to the new, did a lunch run (because moving requires carbs), and Taylor did a couple of Gatorade runs like a pro athlete in the Moving Olympics.

In between all the trips back and forth, I got my favorite job, watching Oakie and Honey. Oakie kept things lively with her running commentary and giggles, while Honey supervised from the floor… occasionally deciding that maybe I should sit still so she could nap on me.

Every morning, I’ve been soaking up the SON. 🌅 What people do without Jesus, I’ll never know. He’s my peace when my calendar is packed and my joy when the to-do list feels like it’s laughing at me. Even Jackson insists on joining me for Bible Study. He curls right up beside me like he’s the Holy Spirit’s furry little assistant. 🐈 Whiskie, on the other hand, prefers to supervise from her perch, flicking her tail like she’s making sure I don’t skip a verse.

I’ve also managed to squeeze in a little SUN soaking. Even though it’s been cloudy, I still stretched out and let those warm, hazy rays work their magic.

Back at home, I tackled some rearranging in the living room. Jackson now has a brand-new chair. Oakie thinks it is here recliner. Jackson thinks it’s his royal throne. But we’ll let those two work out the “custody arrangement” on their own.

Somewhere in the middle of all this, I collected several bags of things to price and thrift for Brandon and Taylor. My living room currently looks like a cross between a boutique and a yard sale.

Kevin grilled steak and potatoes tonight—yum! After that, I treated myself to some ice cream (because that’s basically the law after a moving week). I’ve also done laundry, swept the floors, and squeezed in a bit of planning for homecoming at church.

It’s been busy, it’s been full, and it’s been blessed. God’s fingerprints have been all over my week ... steadying me in the chaos, wrapping me in peace, and reminding me to stop and see Him in the middle of it all.

With love, purrs, and a whole lot of gratitude,

Melissa, Jackson & Whiskie 🐾💕
