Busy Bee Mode, Bible Time, and a Secret Project Brewing!

Whew y’all... today?

I’ve been in full busy bee mode! You know that kind of day where you blink and suddenly it’s dinnertime? Yeah, that was me. 😅

Of course, like every day, it started with Jesus. Bible study. Devotional. Another Bible study. Maybe a "little" journaling. Let’s just say I got deep in the Word this morning and I wasn’t mad about it. Truthfully? It’s probably my favorite time of day. That quiet space where it’s just me, my Bible, maybe a highlighter or two, and the Lord whispering, “I’ve got you today.” And oh, did I need to hear that.

Once I finally looked up from the pages, I realized… I was LATE to work. Now, I know I work from home ,,, but listen—it’s still work! Emails don’t answer themselves. Boxes don’t ship themselves. And creativity definitely doesn’t spark itself when you’re buried in clutter. 😅

I got so busy I missed lunch completely. Just powered through with Jesus and water and a determination to conquer my list.

Finally, Kevin walked in. Later than usual. Apparently, he and Brandon had to do more than they thought today. Do I know the full story? Absolutely not. But they looked like they earned their dinner, so I didn’t ask too many questions. 😆

Kevin and I teamed up and got a few chores knocked out. Not glamorous. Not our favorite. But definitely necessary. Adulting, right?

Dinner? Y’all. Grilled pork chops and veggies. Let me tell you—Kevin threw down. The squash had that little char on it. The onions were sweet and golden. It was one of those meals where you sit down and think, “Okay Jesus, thank You for this flavor. And this man. And this night.” Every bite was a blessing.

And tonight? I decided to stay out of the office. No laptop. No inbox. No planning. Just creativity. I don’t know what’s going to come out of it yet… but let’s just say, something is stirring. I have this little idea tucked deep in my heart and it’s begging to come out and play. Want to know what it is? Well... that’s still a secret. But I’m super, super excited. And in the middle of all this buzzing busyness, Jackson has been right up in my grill. I mean nose-to-laptop level of needy. He followed me around like a shadow with fur, chirping and reaching up for pets every five minutes. Sometimes I think he senses when I’m working a little too hard and decides his purring presence is the exact remedy. And he’s not wrong.

No, I didn’t eat breakfast. Yes, I drank all my water. No, I didn’t check everything off the list. Yes, I’m planning to be in bed before midnight (for once). And yes, I saw God all over this day. In the quiet. In the food. In the fur. In the chores. In the whisper to slow down and create. In the unexpected joy of simply showing up.

Heart full. Head sleepy. Spirit steady.
